CARLºS DAVid
Born in Caracas 1961.
Carlos lived in Caracas Venezuela until the age of eleven. Subsequently moved to London, with his family where his father, a journalist, was posted as foreign correspondent. While in London he studied graphic design, illustration and fine arts, mastering in European arts at Winchester School of Art (Barcelona studios). Between 1988 and 1993 he worked as art director of Bolivar Hall of the Embassy of Venezuela in London, in charge of exhibitions where he championed Latin American art. In 2002 he moved to France. He now lives and works there. His works are included in the collections of: Museum of the Americas, Washington D.C. Museum of Contemporary Art, Caracas. Organisation of American States, Washington D.C. Biblioteca Ayacucho, Caracas. Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Caracas. ,Coleccion Cisneros, Caracas . Casa de Las Americas, Habana, as well as private collections in Europe and the Americas.
